Jackson Pollock's Shimmering Substance (1946) is a pivotal work from his early 'drip' period, showcasing his transition from mythological themes to pure abstraction. This museum-quality framed poster captures the vibrant energy and pioneering technique that defined Pollock's genius. With its swirling vortex of yellow, white, and silver, the painting pulsates with dynamic movement, inviting viewers into a world of pure emotion and rhythm.
Our framed poster is a meticulously crafted reproduction, printed on 250 gsm FSC-certified matte paper that ensures archival longevity and accurate color rendition. The sturdy pine wood frame, available in white, natural wood, dark wood, and black, complements any decor. Each piece comes ready to hang with a shatterproof plexiglass cover, offering both protection and a sleek presentation. Whether you're a seasoned collector or a newcomer to abstract expressionism, this framed print is a sophisticated addition to your space.
Pollock's innovative 'drip' technique involved pouring and splattering paint onto a canvas laid on the floor, allowing him to enter the painting physically. Shimmering Substance predates his iconic drip paintings but hints at the liberated gestural style that would revolutionize modern art. This poster captures that raw, unbridled creativity, making it a focal point in any room.
